Welcome to Doc Work
We are a global research team representing universities in Austria, Canada, China, Switzerland, the UK, and the US. On this site we share our ongoing research and the findings of a 2006-2016 longitudinal study of academic work and development of academic career and identity. The ultimate purpose of our work is to facilitate informed career decisions for beginning researchers, and we are actively engaged in making our research on early career academic experiences useful to others. Our goal here is to provide links to resources for all those interested in post-PhD careers in and out of the academy.
