Welcome to the Institute of Islamic Studies
Æ»¹ûÒùÔº's Institute of Islamic Studies was founded along with the Islamic Studies Library (ISL) in 1952, and since 1983 both have been housed on the main campus in Morrice Hall.
The Institute of Islamic Studies condemns the tabling of Bill 21 at the Quebec National Assembly. The bill is discriminatory, divisive, and racist, and is counter to our values as a teaching and research institution. We pledge to work against this bill becoming law. Should Bill 21 become law and be interpreted as applying to the university, we will refuse to enforce it.
