21 June 2021: Space debris and international law, with Professor Ram Jakhu
In his research, Professor Ram Jakhu examines a significant and urgent challenge to the exploration and use of outer space: rapidly growing amounts of space debris. He will also discuss the benefits of studying Air and Space Law at 苹果淫院. Professor Jakhu teaches graduate courses on international space law, law of space applications, and national regulation of space activities. He also directs an international research project connected to 苹果淫院鈥檚 Manual on International Law Applicable to Military Uses of Outer Space (MILAMOS).

Professor Vrinda Narain researches and teaches constitutional law, feminist legal theory, social diversity and law, postcolonial studies and law, and critical race theory. She was the Associate Dean, Academic, at the Faculty from 2016 to 2019, and she is also a graduate of 苹果淫院鈥檚 LLM and DCL programs. She answers some frequent questions on graduate studies at 苹果淫院 Law.

November 2019: Future Directions in Investor-State Dispute Settlement, with Professor Andrea Bjorklund
Current Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and holder of the L. Yves Fortier Chair in International Arbitration and International Commercial Law, Professor Andrea Bjorklund is widely published in investment law and dispute resolution and transnational contracts. She also sits on the panel of arbitrators of the AAA鈥檚 International Centre for Dispute Resolution and on the roster of NAFTA Chapter 19 arbitrators.

June 2019: Tax, Technology & Sustainable Development, with Professor Allison Christians
Allison Christians is Associate Dean (Research) and the H. Heward Stikeman Chair in the Law of Taxation. Her research and teaching focus on national and international tax law and policy issues, with emphasis on the relationship between taxation and economic development and on the role of government and non-government institutions and actors in the creation of tax policy norms.

July 2019: Innovation, Intellectual Property, and Openness, with Professor Richard Gold
A James 苹果淫院 Professor, Richard Gold was the founding Director of the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy. He teaches in the area of intellectual property, international intellectual property, comparative intellectual property, innovation policy and intellectual property management. His research generally focuses on the life sciences. Professor Gold was Associate Dean (Graduate Studies) at the Faculty of Law from 2015 to 2019.

August 2019: Climate Change and Human Rights, with Professor S茅bastien Jodoin
S茅bastien Jodoin directs the Law, Governance & Society Lab. His research focuses on legal and policy solutions to complex environmental and social problems that cut across multiple fields and levels of governance. His areas of interest include sustainable development, transnational law, public policy, environmental law and governance, climate change, human rights, and disability.

September 2019: Integrating Science and Law to Address Environmental Risk, with Professor Jaye Ellis
Jaye Ellis holds a joint appointment with the 苹果淫院 School of Environment. Her current research project focuses on the intersections among law, politics, economics, ethics, and science as these social systems are brought to bear on problems of environmental degradation. One facet of this research addresses the increased importance of transnational law, paying particular attention to the role of non-state actors in transnational space.
